The black Subaru Forester 2014 is the oldest Forester we rent and one of the least expensive ways to get all-wheel drive in Georgia. A fourth-generation car with roof rails, it is practical rather than polished, and well suited to skiers heading for Gudauri or Bakuriani.
Five seats, five doors and three large bags, with the rails there if you bring your own carrier. The 2.5 litre petrol engine with a CVT automatic averages about 8.5 litres per 100 km. All-wheel drive suits snowy passes and the gravel to Juta; there is no low range, so Tusheti is off the menu.
In winter, add snow chains to the booking for the Jvari Pass. There is no deposit and no prepayment, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.

- Unlimited mileage inside Georgia.

- Same to same: return with the fuel level you picked up. Petrol cars take 95 octane or higher; check the pump before refuelling.
- Driver
- 22+ years old, 2+ years of driving. Any licence in Latin script.
- Second driver
- Free. Same age and licence requirements, listed in the agreement.
