If you want to rent a car in Georgia and then stop thinking about it, the Toyota Corolla 2021 is the sensible answer. It is quiet on the highway, light to steer in Tbilisi traffic and short enough for the tight parking spots of Vera and Sololaki.

Front-wheel drive is fine for asphalt, which covers Kakheti, Borjomi, the coast and the paved road to Gudauri and Kazbegi in summer; leave the gravel to our 4x4s.
